Custom made for your project
Basket weave is a refined and timeless parquet pattern composed of a combination of small blocks and planks. The pattern derives its name from the elegant woven effect that appears once the floor is installed: a subtle 3D structure. At DutzWood, every basket weave floor is fully custom made. Our floors are crafted from premium European oak, built on a stable, water-resistant birch plywood base and always finished with our high-quality Duti Coating for optimal protection and long-lasting durability.
Because each floor is tailor-made, you can choose from any colour in our collection or create a completely bespoke shade. For this pattern, quieter wood grades such as Prime and Exclusive are ideal, as they allow the pattern to stand out beautifully.
Single, Double and Triple Basket Weave
At DutzWood, three variations are available: single, double, and triple basket weave. The difference lies in the ratio between blocks and planks.
- Single Basket Weave: Consists of 1 plank + 4 blocks. The length of the plank is determined by the plank width plus two blocks. Example: Blocks 140 × 140 mm planks 140 × 420 mm. Ratio: 1 : 3
- Double Basket Weave: Consists of 2 planks + 4 blocks. The total plank length is created by two planks and two blocks. Example: Blocks 70 × 70 mm and planks 70 × 280 mm. Ratio: 1 : 4
- Triple Basket Weave: Consists of 3 planks + 2 blocks. The length of the plank is determined by the plank width plus two blocks. Example: Blocks 120 × 120 mm and planks 120 × 600 mm. Ratio: 1 : 5.
Since every floor is custom made, we can create virtually any ratio. You can choose: Larger blocks with slimmer planks for a refined effect. Wider planks with smaller blocks for a modern, bold look

Each Basket Weave pattern is finished with our unique DUTI-Coating, this coating is seven times stronger than traditional UV oil or Hardwax finishes. It combines the natural beauty of Hardwax with modern technology, resulting in a matte, authentic look with outstanding resistance to scratches, stains, and moisture.
