Fixed Widths

Oak flooring Zenith

Oak plank flooring in a fixed width is the most widely used pattern worldwide. Available from 70 to 380 mm, it offers a calm, balanced, and timeless look suitable for any interior style. Our most popular widths are 180, 220, and 260 mm. If required, we also produce fixed-length planks, and for wider boards we offer impressive XXL planks up to 7500 mm long, ideal for large open spaces or premium projects.

Each plank is built with a European oak top layer and a waterproof birch plywood base, ensuring exceptional stability. Perfect for South African climates and underfloor heating. We manufacture straight planks in all our gradings, from rustic with many knots to elite with minimal knots, allowing you to choose the exact look that fits your design vision.

Key benefits

  • Wide size range from narrow 70 mm to 380mm wide.

Mixed Widths

Mixed width flooring

Oak plank flooring in mixed widths offer a more organic and natural look, reflecting the way oak trees naturally produce planks in different sizes. A mixed width floor combines multiple plank widths laid in a repeating pattern.

Some great combinations:

  • Small: 100, 140, and 180 mm
  • Medium: 180, 220, and 260 mm
  • Big: 220, 260, and 300 mm

You can fully customise your own combination of widths to create the exact look you want. Whether you prefer three or even four different widths in one floor, we can produce your mix to order.

Because mixed width floors naturally create a more expressive look, we recommend using calmer gradings. Our preferred options are Pure and Exclusive for a refined, elegant appearance. For budget-friendly projects, a Classic grading is also a suitable option.

Random Widths

Random width timer flooring

Plank oak floors with random widths create a lively and natural appearance, similar to how oak trees produce planks of varying sizes. Unlike mixed width floors, which follow a repeating pattern such as 180, 220, and 260 mm, random width floors are installed in a non-repetitive layout. This means you can place any width next to another, for example two 180 mm planks beside each other, or alternate widths in any sequence you prefer. The result is a more organic and free-flowing look.

Random width floors often look best in smaller dimensions such as 100, 140, and 180 mm, because they enhance the natural rhythm and variation without overwhelming the space. However, the pattern is fully flexible, and you can customise the exact widths to suit your design vision.

Key benefits & tips

  • Non-repetitive pattern for a natural, handcrafted appearance
  • Fully customisable widths and layout for a unique floor design
  • Especially beautiful in smaller widths such as 100, 140, and 180 mm
